MAST - Malmö AI-based breast Screening with Tomosynthesis. A Prospective Screening Study

Evaluate a novel breast cancer screening strategy based on digital breast tomosynthesis (DBT), supported by artificial intelligence (AI)

By integrating AI-supported triaging and detection with one-view DBT, the project aims to shift the focus of radiologists’ work toward women at higher risk of breast cancer. This approach has the potential to reduce examination time, improve patient comfort, and lower radiation dose compared to the current screening paradigm, while maintaining or improving breast cancer detection rates.
